The Oddjob Pod’s While They Were Bond series continues with a movie that is much loved by Terry and Graham but controversial with values that can be kindly expressed as of their time. The 1978 action war film, The Wild Geese had an all star cast including Roger Moore. The film is an attempt to navigate through the highly complex world of African politics while at the same time trying to recreate the tone of classic war movies of the 1960s. History has not been kind to the film and we discuss the more problematic elements while celebrating the bits that we still love about this movie. Download the podcast here

Action Movie Landfill — The Fugitive
Terry, Gary and Graham return for another Action Movie Landfill. This time the crew have unearthed the 1993 classic The Fugitive, starring Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones in this Chicago based whodunnit/manhunt movie, based in the long running TV series from the 1960s. The film is still regarded as a classic of the action genre and was nominated for seven Oscars, including best picture. Download the podcast here

While They Were Bond - The Tailor of Panama
The Oddjob Pod continues its While They Were Bond series with Pierce Brosnan's 2001 spy thriller The Tailor of Panama. Based of a novel by John le Carre and with a steller ensemble cast including Geoffrey Rush and Jamie Lee Curtis, The Tailor of Panama is a significant departure from the usual spy fiction that we came to expect from Brosnan's Bond canon.
