Son has been phenomenal since joining TOT both in game
contribution and G/A. This season alone he has registered 10 goals and 6 assists
in all club competitions, yet they currently sit at 16th in the
Premiership table. Last season in the EPL he had 17 goals, and 10 assists, yet
Tottenham Hotspur finished the 2023/2024 Premier League season in 8th place,
plus no trophy won.
He even won the Premiers league golden boot award in
the 2021-2022 season. No trophy
He has won the 2019 Premier Player of the year - by
London football awards. No trophy.
He won the FA cup top goal scorer 2016-2017 season,
yet no trophy.
Tottenham player of the season - for 4 different
seasons. Yet none of those 4 seasons did he win trophy with the club.
Should SON continue in that club after 2026?

Why do most Ex-football superstars fail as coaches
Thiery Henry, Pirlo, Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney, Alan Shearer, Paul Scholes, Frank Lampard, Javier Mascherano, Sol Campbell are a few football legends who are yet to meet expectations as coaches.
These guys led their clubs and countries to trophies and made remarkable impacts in big games. But failed or failing to live up to expectations as coaches. Some of them have completely quit coaching and just focus on podcasting and football punditry, like Alan Shearer, Thiery Henry, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes.
Here are my two cents on why these football legends probably failed or are failing as coaches.

Emiliano Matinez - should he continue with Aston Villa?
Personally, I feel like a player who has won a world cup, two Corpa America, FIFA world cup Golden glove, Best FIFA men’s goalkeeper for 2022 and 2024, 2024 IFFHS world’s best goalkeeper should be in a club where he can win trophies. Aston Villa has a very limited chance of winning either the EPL or UEFA Europa League.
This season he has made very crucial savings for Aston Vila, but the team is currently 9th on the table. Meaning there is a high chance he will end the season again without a trophy with the club.

Should Wayne Rooney still continue as a coach?
Should Rooney continue as a coach? Should he take a break? Should he make a thorough analysis of where to make improvements? I honestly think he should.
You can see the decline in performance from his first job as a coach and now. The clubs dropped drastically in the table, had lots of losses, conceded lots of goals, and often at a dire position upon his departure from the club.
Rooney is one of the greatest footballers we know, but if he really wants to build his coaching profile, then he needs to work really hard on it.
