We’re just a couple who’s learned that life rarely goes according to plan. From infertility to foster care, adoption, trauma, and healing, we’re sharing our story to remind you: it’s okay to be in the messy middle. Let’s figure it out together.
In one of our most personal episodes yet, we finally sit down and talk through a night we’ve avoided for more than four years... the night Gabbie was hit by a car.
For the first time, we walk through what happened before, during, and after the accident. The confusion, the injuries, the memory loss, the panic attacks, the silence inside her mind, and the slow, messy process of figuring out life again.
We talk about healing that isn’t linear, faith that felt quiet for a long time, and the unexpected ways God shows up in the parts of our story that reroute us.
If you’ve ever felt off course, overwhelmed, or stuck in a season you didn’t ask for, then this episode is for you.
We end with a light rapid-fire round, because even in heavy stories, there’s room for joy.

Something Wasn't Right: Noah's Cancer Journey Part 1
In late 2019, a mysterious lump appeared on our 3-year-old son Noah’s jaw. What started as a headache quickly became fevers that wouldn’t break, wrong diagnoses, and endless rounds of antibiotics. Deep down, Gabbie’s “momtuition” told her something was terribly wrong.
In Part 1 of Noah’s cancer journey, we share the 63 days leading up to his diagnosis — the frustration of not being heard, the moment we demanded a biopsy, and the phone call that turned our world upside down: “Your child has cancer.”
We also talk about:
Why trusting your gut matters — even with trusted doctors
The emotional toll of waiting for answers
How we supported each other when one of us hit a breaking point
Faith, fear, and finding strength in the hardest season of our lives

How Did We Get Here?!
We've had a lot of people ask us to share our story. So here's the short version of the long story... how we went from swiping right on Tinder to moving across the country, walking through infertility, and eventually saying yes to foster care and adoption.
This isn't a deep dive. The future episodes will break out story into more details. It's just an overview of how we got to where we are now.
And if you listen closely... you'll hear us struggling to figure out the whole podcast thing as we go. There's ice clinking, animals making cameos, and a hot mess of a mic situation. (Don't worry... new one coming next episode!)
But it feels pretty on brand for us--raw and real and a hot chaotic mess.
Thanks for being here!
