Thankful for What?
It's Thanksgiving Week - and life has been hard. You know the list - political unrest, government shutdown, wars, assassinations, international crisis's, attacks on religious institutions - shall we go on? And this doesn't include what you may be dealing with in your own personal life. So, this Thanksgiving week, we're thankful for what? Kate and Kellie chat about this subject and offer ideas and practices that may help each of us find thanksgiving and gratitude in the midst of the hardships of life. So, from January 2025, my parents, both in their 80s living in Wisconsin, I'm the only kid, so I literally did about 10,000 miles in 10 months going back and forth taking care of both of them and selling their house and putting my mom in assisted living dementia care and and trying to live that life and keep going back and forth. And my mom recently passed in April and the funeral was in May. And here we are in the early part of June. And, um, uh, aside from that, uh, I've been at, uh, Rose Oak Gardens Press Church 25 years and, uh, 34 years in the ministry in two weeks. […]
