A podcast (not only) for first responders, by first responders. Providing a venue for the voices of frontline workers to be heard. Real discussions about real topics by real responders. The curtains are finally being pulled back for those on the outside to have a inside look into the lives of the people holding these respectful, and often fascinating, careers.

Offload Delay welcomes Jackie (IG - @jaxcaw), Lesley (IG @lm_injectables) and Marcelle (FB Marcelle Read) to share their stories about their careers on the frontlines. We dig deep into the experiences (some good and some not so good) of these veteran female medics, supervisors, nurses and college instructors who helped pave the way for others following their footsteps.

So you think you may need to seek medical attention during the pandemic?? Podcasting power couple Ryan & Ashley join in this week to tell their very personal story of dealing with a medical emergency during a global pandemic. Frustrations were a plenty... be it from dealing with the "Gatekeeper" admin assistants ... or the strict no visitors allowed ER polices... or trying to believe the token "no news is good news" line despite knowing better because you actually own a copy of your own Xray results... Ryans nearly fatal story contains a few laughs, a few eye opening details and, most importantly, a very serious message for all of us to take to heart.

PTSD & Mental Illness Beyond the Front Lines - Families and Loved Ones Are Not Immune
Following the tragic loss of her husband Sylvain, a dedicated police officer and family man, to the devastating effects of mental illness in July 2018, Sarah Routhier-Clark channeled her remarkable strength and passion towards helping ensure others could hopefully avoid a similar fate.
Sarah has recently written a book that openly shares her emotional story for all and highlights some of the warning signs she wishes she knew as the wife of a first responder before it was too late. This book is titled "Don't Forget Your Roots" and is a powerful and valuable resource that is a must read for all First Responders and their loved ones.
Sarahs incredible resiliency and strength shines in this interview as we discuss her highly admirable efforts and contributions she has made towards supporting mental health and PTSD awareness for all first responders since that life changing day in 2018.
Please be aware this discussion may serve as an emotional trigger for some.

LONG TERM CARE...or LONG TERM (Who) CARE(s)?
Long Term Care (LTC) is in turmoil... The Covid-19 pandemic has revealed some dark truths about the state of Long Term Care facilities in the province of Ontario and across our nation. The reality is these revelations are not new for those of us on the front lines who have seen these same atrocities for many decades. False promises and lack of support by the governing bodies has led to a movement towards righting these wrongs of how we "care" for our seniors.
It's a pleasure for me to introduce Leanne Schaefer in this episode. Incredibly, Leanne has become a tremendous advocate for the LTC support movement and all of us on the front lines despite have no direct ties to the health care world...Come and hear her story...learn what drives this firecracker of an individual and overall amazing human.
