Even though there are many words in French that sound very similar to English and have the same meaning, there are also so-called false friends - words that sound similar to English but have a different meaning. Une Location - not a location but rent; to say location, use words like un endroit / un lieu Un libraire - not a library but a bookshop; to say library, use bibliothèque Ancien can mean ancient, but most of the time you would see it with a meaning former.
