On Okay But Also you'll find two chronically ill sisters turned unlikely best friends with a 6 year age gap discussing all things life: good, bad, and ugly from their combined perspectives and shared experiences as neurodivergent, humorous, Irish-Catholic raised, complexly traumatized, licensed professional, people pleasing, medically mysterious, queer, midwestern girlies.
This month of November brings cold weather, election season, and a new Hunger Games movie. Dive in to one of Brigid's special interests as the perfect opportunity for discussing current events, human rights, disability activism and how serious one girl can get about Peeta Mellark. Even if the Hunger Games franchise hasn't been on your radar or wouldn't be considered your "thing" we urge you to take a listen and join the conversation regarding corrupt governments, importance of communication, appreciation of original art and music, and the ways in which well written literature can bring us together. Join Mo (31) as she listens to Brigid (25) yap about a hyperfixation she's had since she was twelve.

Okay But Also... It's Spooky Season
Pull on your comfy (or compression) socks and grab a warm drink for this episode! Mo (31) and Brigid (25) share their ideal fall days and reminisce on Halloween traditions of the past and present. The season of fall brings movies, costumes, iconic decor and the occasional asthma attack. The changing of seasons can bring a lot of uncertainty with chronic and mental illness, but these sisters are choosing to spend this fall focused on self-care, embracing nostalgia, and never EVER watching a true horror movie again.

Okay But Also... High School Stressed Us Out
Although they might not agree on what the right way to cram homework into a busy schedule was or what color binder math belonged in, Mo and Brigid can agree that high school was stressful. Deciding to go to school sick or tired because you've "felt worse," never quite grasping the art of saying "no" to faculty and staff, and simply... "doin' too much" is all too familiar to a neurodivergent high school student with chronic illness. Listen in to Mo (31) and Brigid (25) discuss the similarities and differences of their academic experiences often in the same buildings and with the same teachers- just six years apart.

Okay But Also... Trying Our Best and Talking Tattoos
Summer draws to a close and as fall begins, self-care is mainly a game of "trying your best." This week, Mo and Brigid attempt to start a back to school episode, but get caught up in the nostalgia. What even is nostalgia? Eating a familiar sweet treat from childhood even if it's much sweeter than your adult palate can handle? DIY-ing a throwback birthday party? Getting your favorite childhood memories tattooed? How about just simply catching up with old friends? It's sometimes hard to tell when so much of your young life is clouded by medical trauma-induced memory loss, but these types of conversations are the perfect opening for relearning the past.
Brigid (25) and Mo (31) share their individual experiences getting tattoos with skin differences, pain tolerances, and neurodivergent brains.

Okay But Also... Brigid Introduces Herself
A lifetime of eczema, a journey to becoming an art therapist, and bag full of... other smaller bags? Brigid takes a turn in the spotlight to introduce herself in the only way these sisters know how: by oversharing every diagnosis and treatment plan she's ever been given! The Okay But Also duo may not have had the "typical" introduction to their podcast, but you'll come to learn there's not much in their life experiences that can be described as "typical."
The original 2 hour recorded conversation between Mo (31) and Brigid (25) has been edited into two parts with an episode designated to each sister.

Okay But Also... We Miss Sharing A Room
Sisters don't always love sharing a room, but it's the one place arguments over closet space and bright reading lights can turn into Christmas Eve sleepovers, shared clothes, and... a podcast? Join Brigid and Mo in their childhood bedroom that has since been transformed into Mo's current bedroom as they reminisce about the place it all started.
