Graphics Class Part 1
Hello guys my names are okpechis Chidiebere Vincent and while am a graphics designer I'm also a digital marketer and a programmer that aside today na graphic design we wan talk about, so ill be taking you guys through a series of classes and today being the first class I want us to first look at the three basic component of every graphics design Which are the 1. Colors 2. The shapes 3. The font type Taking them one at a time, what are colors? We all know what colors are but what we might not know is that colors are further sub divided into Light colors Dark And neutral colors Examples of light colors are the.... Sky blue examples of dark colors are the wine red and finally the neutral colors, these are composed of just two colors the black and the white colors OK now that we know our colors let's move over to the next component which is the shape. This component makes up the whole design, from the initial shape of your design to the different creative manipulations withing the design that makes your design stand out. Stay with me... Now for the final component, we will be looking at the font type to make use of during your designs, They are different kinds and types of font 1. The bold or solid fonts 2. The regular fonts 3. The slim or tiny fonts 4. The cursive fonts 5. The italic fonts etc. before you run a design, you need to consider what kind or type of information you are passing out as this will determine the type of font to use... Say for example you are looking at passing an information you don't want people to miss, at this point I don't need to tell you that men you need to make use of the bold font or regular font, something every one can see and read even without their glasses on. Okay we will see more and understand better during the application.. Now there is something I always tell all of my students and that's what makes them stand out of the crowd... Be Creative with your designs... I'm sure a lot of people see this as a tough thing to do, in the true sense, it's not hard at all... You can either think of something that's not existing and bring it into being or you can take what's existing and make it better. Here are some take home assignments for you 1. Go to Google, browse through some great designs and take note of the different components we discussed and how they were used 2. Pick out a design you'll want us to redesign in the next class and forward to the group Note if you don't do these assignments, you'll be removed from the group With that, we come to the end of this class see you in the next one...
