🚨 BONUS: Stephen A. Smith EXPOSED Over Lane Johnson Take!

Welcome back to Sweaty Sports Talk! In this quick bonus episode, Tommy T. and Barry D. break down the massive controversy surrounding ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith and Eagles legend Lane Johnson. After the All-Pro right tackle announced his abrupt retirement to prioritize his mental health, Stephen A. went on First Take and openly mocked the timing—implying Johnson was simply quitting on a struggling team. The internet, fellow analysts, and former NFL players immediately cooked him for the tone-deaf segment, forcing a massive live on-air backtrack. 📌 INSIDE THIS BONUS EPISODE: The Rant: How Stephen A. crossed the line by dismissing a well-documented mental health battle for cheap daytime television clicks. The Backlash: Why the sports world—led by Emmanuel Acho—called the take "dangerous" and completely unacceptable. The Damage Control: Breaking down Smith's failed "misconstrued" video defense and his eventual somber, live on-air apology. 🏈 CHECK OUT & WATCH THE FULL VIDEO EPISODE ON APPLE PODCAST • NFL Weeks 4 & 5 🔗 FOLLOW US: • Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@oldmeninsweats (https://www.youtube.com/@oldmeninsweats) • Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/oldmeninsweats/ (https://www.instagram.com/oldmeninsweats/)

Stephen A. Smith Called Out! 🏈 + The Death of the "Soft" NFL Gambler (Game Rewinds-Reviews + Tommy T's O.J. Story)!

The Men are back in their Sweats, and this week, the gloves are completely off! Welcome back to Sweaty Sports Talk! Today, Barry D. and Tommy T. break down the Stephen A. Smith controversial take on Eagles' Lane Johnson, Public Gamblers mad at TJ Hockenson, top NFC and AFC teams, week 4 game re-caps and week 5 previews and...much more! The banter continues with more, review, analysis and recap of all the previous weeks gridiron action before diving deep into our crucial Week 5 matchups, predictions, and betting angles! 🔥 Subscribe or follow the show for more NFL & NBA previews, roster breakdowns, and sports comedy! 🏈 IN THIS EPISODE: • First up, Tommy T. steps into the ring for a blistering edition of "The Mind of Tommy T." Tommy takes direct aim at TV personality Stephen A. Smith following his controversial reaction to Philadelphia Eagles legend Lane Johnson’s retirement. When Johnson courageously opened up about his mental health, Stephen A. dropped a negative take that didn't sit well with the sports world—and it definitely didn't sit well with Tommy. • Next, on the "Sweaty Sports Hit List," Barry D. fires back at angry sports bettors who lost their minds when Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson chose to slide down at the end of the game to seal the win rather than scoring a public-betting-covering touchdown. This triggers an epic breakdown on how "soft" modern kids have it with sports gambling. Back in the day, if you couldn't pay your sports betting debt, you weren't just getting your bank account frozen—you were worrying about old-school bookies breaking your legs! Tommy T. links Hockenson's smart slide directly to the history of the "Victory Formation," tracing it back to the infamous 1978 "Miracle at the Meadowlands" debacle when the NY Giants botched a late-game handoff, allowing Herm Edwards and the Eagles to scoop it up for a shocking winning touchdown. • "Rewind & Review," the men then look back and re-cap Week 4 and rank their present powerhouses. In the AFC, they are all-in on the Chiefs, Bills, Jags, and Raiders, while their NFC elite features the Vikings, Niners, and Seahawks. Meanwhile, traditional giants like the Eagles, Cowboys, Packers, and Rams are officially on notice, joining the struggling Ravens and Bengals in the "iffy" category. Looking ahead and previewing Week 5, Tommy blindsides Barry by picking the Saints to upset Barry's beloved Minnesota Vikings! • For "Sweaty of the Week," the guys highlight San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle "Juice" Juszczyk, who was absurdly fined by the NFL for a touchdown celebration. While the NFL initially thought he was chugging a beer, they finally rescinded the fine after realizing he was actually pretending to drink a juice box in honor of his nickname! Barry D. mentions his wife’s NFL Ladies gear and that she’s not to hard on the eyes! • This naturally leads into a brand-new, must-watch weekly segment: "The Juice is on the Loose." Tommy T. gets a bit confused between Juszczyk and the original Juice, O.J. Simpson, prompting the men to begin a weekly unpacking of a mind-blowing piece of history: Tommy T. actually witnessed the infamous 1990s O.J. Simpson murders in Brentwood, California. The guys give a sneak peek into Tommy T.’s unbelievable story, which will be featured in a massive upcoming true-crime documentary on NBC and Peacock this winter! 🕒 TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 - Intro 2:10 - The Mind of Tommy T: Stephen A.
