About On Another Planet with Emma Jones and Robbie Savage
What is it like to be a Director of football at a professional football club? We see players and managers week in week out, but what really goes on in those boardrooms? How do they make the decisions that affect everything at the club, from which players to bring in, to what next season's shirt looks like, and how much to charge for season tickets.
This is ‘On Another Planet’ where Former Premier League player and Welsh international Robbie Savage finds himself facing these challenges everyday as Director of Football at Macclesfield Town (it really is another planet). He'll share his insights every week with Emma Jones, and a rotating panel of football experts, as they tackle the big issues through the lens of a football decision maker as well as answering your questions on the latest sporting news.

'I walked out, got in my car and put the music on full volume'
The Silkmen have got to the playoff final, but Robbie's nerves got the better of him and he found himself unable to watch the closing stages of the game against Worksop. With everything coming down to 90 minutes on bank holiday Monday, will he be able to watch it unfold without any ability to influence events on the pitch? Then in the second part along with Fraser Fletcher, they discuss the suggestion that the entire Manchester United squad could be up for sale, and look at what could be the reasons for the rebirth of Jadon Sancho at Dortmund.
We'll be back after the Play-Off Final with either an ecstatic or a very disappointed Robbie Savage.

"I'd be walking out with the fans"
With Macclesfield through to the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy, Robbie is dreaming of white suits for the team, but it may have to stay a dream as he reveals just how much a cup run can cost a club. And with one eye on the playoffs he's having conversations with agents as he looks to add some more experience to the squad.
Sarah Winterburn from Football 365 joins them to review the big stories from the latest round of Premier League fixtures, and to have a little dig at Robbie. Will David Moyes be looking for a new job this summer? Will anybody still be in the stadium to see him? Will United make those Champions League places? And was that 6 pointer against Luton too little too late for the Blades.
Plus Robbie gets a Blue card as he's forgotten it's a very important day for someone on the team...

'I would sacrifice everything to get promoted'
Robbie recounts the story of how he became a Director of Football, and along with it the challenges, doubts and pressures he's encountered over the last few years. Looking ahead, the Silkmen play in the fifth round of the FA Trophy, but would they swap the road to Wembley for promotion?
With just 2 points between the top three, TeamTalk Editor James Marshment pops in to review the big stories from the latest round of Premier League fixtures, and to agree on almost everything. Except maybe for Manchester United. Should Rob Edwards get Manager of the Season? Could Ross Barkley force his way back into the England camp? Are some people taking celebrations too far? And what can be done to turn things around at Chelsea?
