DeStefano’s experience includes decades of volunteer service with the Medford Fire Department and Medford Volunteer Ambulance, as well as a career as a Public Safety Communication Supervisor in the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office. He has sponsored legislation to strengthen penalties for menacing police officers and give judges greater discretion in bail decisions.
A member of the Assembly’s Committee on Governmental Employees and Committee on Correction, DeStefano brings experience in emergency services and public employment to his work in state government.
