About On The Other Side: Leadership After Transition
Leaders from all branches of Service exit the military for many different reasons. This podcast is designed to bring leaders from all Services; Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard that have already made the transition to give some insight to transitioning Service Members and Service Members who have already made the transition who are struggling. Through sharing experiences, I am hopeful that my guests can give some knowledge and hope to our transitioning Veterans. I also hope to reach civilian business owners to give them some understanding of what they are getting by hiring a Veteran, from a leadership perspective.
An Air Force Veteran of 21 years, Ej O'Brien retired and as he began the process of looking for what's next, he put together a plan for success.
He attended several cohorts to "test the market" and found FourBlock, which ultimately led him to his first post-retirement job at USAA. Finding a purpose was important to him, so he stayed connected with FourBlock and eventually left USAA to pursue an opportunity to provide some light for transitioning Service Members.
Today, he is the Vice President of Programs and is impacting lives every day!

Ryan Williams Sr. had worked with me years ago. From sharing the same home town and a love for the Buffalo Bills, we had an instant connection.
The man has done something that is very uncommon, I've found, over my years on this planet. Says he is going to do something, and then, does it!
A Cybersecurity professional, he's an author, a business owner, a husband and a father. Let's not forget, a Bills fan! Let's Go! From a successful military career to taking steps upon exit to create a foundation of excellence, he is THAT guy!

Air Force Veteran exits the military and bets on himself. After building relationships during his time in service, Anthony Closson created Colossal LLC, which is an SBA-certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Colossal specializes in Government Contracting to include services such as: IT Integration, Route/Switch, Mobility, Collaboration, Cloud, Data Center, Security and more.
Anthony has also contributed over $1 Million dollars to Mission 22 to show that he not only talks about ending Veteran suicide, but is trying to do something about it!
