The cryptids you never asked for
Not every legend is majestic. Some of them just… showed up.
This episode drags three unwanted cryptids into the firelight: the Gumbaroo, a problem no one budgeted for; the Ningen, a pale shape in Antarctic waters that ruins an already terrible job; and the Grass Man, lurking in Ohio and reminding us the Midwest is not as normal as it pretends to be.
They don’t guard treasure. They don’t teach lessons.
They just exist.
And somehow, that’s the most upsetting part.
