The phrase "Your kingdom come" is more than a familiar line from the Lord's Prayer. It is a daily invitation to surrender personal control and place full allegiance in Jesus as King. The people of Jesus' day longed for God's kingdom, but they expected it to arrive through power and political force. Instead, Jesus revealed that the kingdom of God transforms from the inside out, beginning when a person voluntarily surrenders their life to Him. Many people today, like the Pharisees of old, resist this surrender because the kingdom Jesus offers looks different from what they have built for themselves. Praying "Your kingdom come" means asking God to change not just the world around us, but the fears, habits, and attachments within us. It is a prayer of trust in a King who does not force submission but invites it. When we truly surrender, we gain something the world cannot provide: a peace that is not dependent on circumstances.

Teach Us to Pray, Week 3
Most people want to pray but struggle to know where to begin. Jesus answered this directly when His disciples asked Him to teach them, and His response starts with two powerful ideas: calling God "Father" and honoring His name as holy. Praying to God as Father means coming to Him in relationship, not just with a list of requests. It means trusting that as His children, we have real access to Him. Hallowing His name means genuinely desiring that He would be recognized as set apart above everything else in our lives. That desire has to show up in our passions, our words, our habits, our money, and our choices. Prayer is not just a spiritual discipline. It is the foundation for how we live as followers of Jesus.

Teach Us to Pray, Week 2
Prayer can feel complicated, but Jesus makes the posture of prayer simple. In Luke 11, He tells a story about a man who knocks on his neighbor's door at midnight with a desperate need and refuses to stop until that need is met. Jesus calls this shameless audacity, and it is exactly the posture He wants His followers to bring to God. Your picture of God shapes how you pray, and if you see Him as distant or judgmental, bold prayer will feel impossible. But Jesus paints a different picture. God is a generous Father who gives good gifts to His children, not a reluctant neighbor who needs to be convinced. No need is too small, no hour is too late, and you are never an inconvenience to Him. Come to Him honestly, without shame, and trust that He is listening.
