Jean Claude Film Club is a podcast where we watch every Jean Claude Van Damme movie, apparently? Despite everything, we're back with the Mos Angeles from Los Angeles to talk about Kickboxer, a movie that goes to some strange places (but mostly Thailand). Join us as we learn how Jean Claude Van Damme learned to do the splits, and where Goro from Mortal Combat comes from. No, really.

Black Eagle
Sometimes a man comes into your life who changes the meaning of love for you. Before this man, you didn't understand, not really. But then Cunty Oaf wanders into a movie he has no business being in, and you know nothing will ever be the same. The movie in question is Black Eagle, a movie about how believing in yourself will allow you to do anything, apart from maths tests.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)
Yes, this is the Michael Bay one. Did you know that "One Pound Film Club Hates These Turtles" fits into the TMNT theme song structure?
Released into a world that wasn't ready for it with an insanely stacked cast for a movie about turtles who are teenagers doing ninja stuff mutant-ly, this one broke our brains a little bit. Check it out! Somehow, the thumbnail is relevant to the movie.

Carry on Doctor
Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate Kenneth Williams since I watched this movie. There are 387.44 billion jokes about being gay with wafer thin setup that fill this film. If the word 'hate' was the punchline for each stretched joke it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for England at this micro-instant. For Tinkle. Hate. Hate.
This one was fun though! Promise.

Double Team (1997)
Okay I have to be completely real - I thought this movie was a joke until it actually started playing? They put Van Damme and Dennis Rodman up against Mr Michael Rourke? This might be the most 90s action movie ever made, with a plot to match. Insane. Please enjoy this work of art.

300: Rise of an Empire
Or 302 Spartmations, or 300: Why's There A Sequel, or The-meh-stocles of Athens.
Okay I'm done. A movie that can best be described as going back for more 300 at 2am with a main character who is very specifically not Gerard Butler from the first one, but definitely has an impractically huge horse dick. That's canon, and I can PROVE IT.

Futuresport
Futuresport is a combination of basketball, baseball, hockey, hoverboarding and rollerblading played by, apparently, everybody on earth. If that isn't enough for you, it has a medical vacbed, Wesley Snipes doing an insane accent and Dean Cain fresh from riding a ferris wheel at an empty fair. I can't recommend this one strongly enough.

I Am Omega
In 1954 Richard Matheson wrote I Am Legend and changed the course of apocalyptic fiction forever. His book is widely credited as kickstarting the development of the zombie apocalypse genre, with George Romero claiming it as a direct inspiration for Night of the Living Dead. Though Matheson was writing about vampires and many aspects of the book are pretty dated the tropes and themes he wrote about are still woven into the DNA of modern post-apocalyptic stories to this day.
I Am Omega has almost nothing to do with I Am Legend apart from the title and the fact that a disease has turned the people of Los Angeles into flesh eating monsters. The movie was rushed out by The Asylum specifically to trick audiences into confusing it with Will Smith’s more popular, higher budget adaptation which hit theatres a month later. But at least we get Mark Dacascos from John Wick 3 doing some sick martial arts moves.

Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption
Remember when Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz redefined bisexuality for a generation of film viewers? Well this isn't that movie. Remember when Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took on the mantle of the Scorpion King in an ill fated spin off? It's not that either. This is 2012's Scorpion King 3 answering important questions like, "What would Dave Bautista have been doing if he hadn't been in Guardians of the Galaxy?" and "Is there any role Billy Zane or Ron Perlman won't say yes to?"
