Why is the MCU Multiverse Collapsing? + Vision vs Ultron & The DC Curse!
The MCU Multiverse isn't just collapsing on its own—our heroes are the ones destroying it. Today on the Only Comics podcast, Mike and Adrian break down exactly how Doctor Strange, Wanda, Loki, and Monica Rambeau have been slowly tearing apart the fabric of reality through incursions, dreamwalking, and branch timelines. This isn't just a Kang problem anymore; it's the perfect setup for Doctor Doom to step in and save the day in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.Plus, with Marvel's Vision Quest officially dropping on Disney+, we are diving deep into the dark, tragic comic book lore of Vision and Ultron. What actually makes a synthesized Avenger human? We look at Vision's twisted attempt to build a robotic family and why his comic history is much darker than the MCU has shown so far.But it's not all Marvel today! We have to ask: is DC Studios officially cursed? The Batman Part II has been delayed again, and we are holding absolutely nothing back in our review of the Lanterns HBO series finale. Spoiler alert: it was a disaster. Finally, Mike drops a massive hot take on why Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is officially a better movie than Thor: Love and Thunder.Hit subscribe, drop a comment with your take on the Lanterns finale, and join the internship! The Next Stop on our Road to Doomsday is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3Watch or listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3OAjdvYrsHMXElchOJHrz0Use our Affiliate Link if you are going to sign up for Marvel Unlimited: https://yazing.com/deals/marvel/OnlycomicsJoin the Legion of Interns to go down the rabbit hole with us on "Other Stuff": https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcCf4TY3lm9wqOH5za2_h-w/joinSupport the Show: https://onlycomicsmerch.com/0:00:00 - Intro 0:01:21 - Welcome Back0:02:51 - NYCC Recap & MCU X-Men Casting Rumors0:06:37 - The Evolution of Tom Holland's Spider-Man0:11:27 - Marvel Animation News & Marvel Zombies0:13:14 - Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 Leak0:23:45 - Nick Fury in the MCU & Secret Wars0:30:54 - Avengers Endgame becomes #1 Again0:37:29 - Vision Quest Schedule & James Spader's Ultron0:44:57 - The DC Curse & The Batman Part II Delay0:54:00 - Lanterns Finale Review & What the F*** Rotten Tomatoes1:21:14 - Vision vs. Ultron: What Actually Makes Someone Human?1:39:52 - Vision's Marriage, Comic Trauma & Synthetic Family1:55:32 - Road to Doomsday: Ant-Man 3 vs. Thor Love and Thunder2:00:31 - Why the MCU Multiverse is Collapsing2:09:40 - Incursions, Dreamwalking & Anchor Beings2:18:01 - Hidden Gem2:36:47 - Death in the MCU & Doomsday Predictions2:40:09 - Wrap Up

Is Mephisto in Avengers Doomsday? + The REAL Ant Man Hank Pym!
AWAB! We are back for another massive week in the comic book universe. Right now, it feels like the calm before the storm—and that storm is Avengers: Doomsday. With the MCU dropping massive runtimes for Vision Quest and Avengers Endgame doing huge numbers in its theatrical rerelease, we are gearing up for the next phase. But the biggest question on our minds: Is Mephisto finally pulling the strings? After his appearance in Ironheart, we break down the intense comic history between Doctor Doom and Mephisto, and whether or not the MCU is setting up the ultimate demonic deal for Doomsday and Secret Wars. Then, we are taking the scenic route with a massive deep dive into one of Marvel's most complicated and controversial founders: the REAL Hank Pym. Forget the sweet old man from the movies; we are unpacking the genius, the mental breakdowns, the creation of Ultron, and the dark moments that make Hank Pym one of the most flawed heroes in comic book history. Is he a hero, a villain, or just a guy who couldn't stop getting in his own way?The Next Stop on our Road to Doomsday is Ant-Man 3Watch or listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3OAjdvYrsHMXElchOJHrz0Use our Affiliate Link if you are going to sign up for Marvel Unlimited: https://yazing.com/deals/marvel/OnlycomicsJoin the Legion of Interns to go down the rabbit hole with us on "Other Stuff": https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcCf4TY3lm9wqOH5za2_h-w/joinSupport the Show: https://onlycomicsmerch.com/0:00:00 - The Calm Before the Doomsday Storm0:01:49 - Avengers Endgame Box Office & Spider-Man Rerelease0:07:25 - Was Old Man Steve Actually ....?0:18:27 - Vision Quest Runtime Details0:22:05 - DC's Low Budget Strategy: Clayface & Lanterns0:42:29 - Who the F is Ant-Man (Hank Pym)0:52:16 - Hank Pym Creates Ultron1:02:19 - The Yellowjacket Incident & Hank's Fall1:22:14 - Ironheart Review & Mephisto's MCU Arrival1:28:24 - Will Mephisto Show Up in Avengers Doomsday?1:32:12 - Doctor Doom and Mephisto's Comic History1:40:43 - Hidden Gem1:57:25 - We Respond

How Avengers Endgame Encore Sets Up Doomsday!
We just got out of the IMAX theater for the Avengers: Endgame Encore, and we need to talk about exactly how those new post-credits scenes are directly setting up Avengers: Doomsday. Is Doctor Doom coming for the Hulk? Did the Avengers' time heist actually create the multiverse incursions? We break down everything you need to know about Doom's master plan and why he might actually see the Avengers as the villains. We’re talking about the shocking Daredevil: Born Again non-renewal and what it means for the MCU's massive pivot to the mutants and the X-Men. Plus, we react to the weird new Vision Quest teaser, the fan backlash over Hal Jordan's fate in the DCU Lanterns series, and the wild rumors that Christopher Nolan is stepping in to direct a Star Wars movie.Later in the show, we hit our character deep dive on the true comic origin of Captain America—proving why Steve Rogers is the most misunderstood hero in comics and how he stands up against corrupt governments. Then, I take one for the team on the Road to Doomsday by rewatching Thor: Love and Thunder so you don't have to (spoiler: it's the absolute worst MCU movie ever made). Finally, Adrian brings the heat with a Hidden Gem.
