<p>On this episode, Founder and CEO Lynn Madden speaks with <a href=" https://www.linkedin.com/in/judith-feinberg-ab354111a/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Dr Judith Feinberg</a>.</p><p>In this episode, we speak with Judith Feinberg, an infectious disease physician whose career has been defined by leadership in HIV/AIDS research, treatment, and prevention. She has held senior academic positions at the <a href="https://www.uc.edu/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">University of Cincinnati</a> and <a href="https://www.wvu.edu/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">West Virginia University</a>, where she combined frontline clinical care with leadership in NIH-funded HIV clinical trials. While in Cincinnati, she also helped establish the <a href="https://magazine.uc.edu/issues/0915/needle-exchange.html" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cincinnati Exchange Project</a>, Ohio’s first syringe services program.</p><p>Her work has consistently focused on translating research into practical public health action, particularly for communities affected by substance use and infectious disease risk. Feinberg has played a major role in shaping HIV treatment guidelines and advancing harm-reduction strategies to reduce HIV and hepatitis C transmission. She is the only person to have chaired both the <a href="https://www.hivma.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">HIV Medicine Association</a> and the <a href="https://aahivm.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">American Academy of HIV Medicine</a>, and has served on multiple federal and state advisory bodies addressing HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, and the opioid crisis.
