<p>74 - On Dissonance and Resonance</p><p>Recorded from Jake’s white linen adorned home in his absence, Heather and Vesta discuss amongst many things, the recent convergence of so many goth events on one weekend, showing that what can seem like a cohesive community easily factions off into sub-groups, pulled between Thrill Kill Kult, Suicide Commando, Christian Death, and also amongst our regular club nights. We discuss whether hope still exists in the language and aesthetics of despair when words are spells, the idolatry and abjection of Rozz Williams, and what our need for ritual suggests about neurodiversity. And apparently we are going camping.</p><p>Honorable mention to some deathrock clubs that slipped the mind at the time of recording: Purgatory, Batastrophe, Gallows</p>

72 - Memento Mori, Carpe Noctem
<p>Happy-ish new year. This was recorded in November 2025, and due to late publishing has become a bit of a time capsule, as things have changed since this recording. We revisit the topic of “memento mori” and the end of life, finding light in the darkness, relationship struggles and attachment, and surviving Halloween. Heather’s father has since passed, and we dedicate this episode to the memory of Bill Aldridge. </p>
