Proverbs: Sage Advice for a Skillful Life #4 - Wisdom for Money
Ask someone if they are good with money and most will talk about savings, bargains, or investments. Proverbs measures it differently. Money can be a genuine gift from God, but it is never the best thing, and it turns into a curse when a sinful heart treats it as a strong city. So work honestly, gather little by little, refuse the hustle, and share freely with the poor. Jesus gave up the riches of heaven to make spiritually bankrupt people rich, and that free gift breaks money's grip.

Proverbs: Sage Advice for a Skillful Life #3 - Wisdom for Family
Family can be messy, and most of us carry regrets about how we have loved at home. Proverbs was written by a father and mother teaching their son, so the household itself becomes a school for wisdom. A house is built by wisdom, not by good looks or luck. Choosing a spouse wisely matters, husbands are to build their wives up with praise, and children need both warm instruction and loving correction. These are general observations, not guarantees. Jesus carried the load of our failures, so homes can be built without shame driving the work.

Wisdom for Work
Most of our waking hours go to work. Proverbs sends the lazy person to watch an ant, who stores up food with no one supervising her. It also warns against chasing get-rich fantasies, doing tasks in the wrong order, and rigging the scales for profit. Yet bad work runs deeper than bad habits; it grows from misplaced desire. Jesus worked hard because He loved His Father, and He finished His greatest work on the cross, freeing and reordering the desires that drive us.
