This is the recreation of a presentation given at the 2026 BYU Women's Conference focused on the theme of peacemaking. It emphasizes the importance of love, compassion, and understanding in fostering unity and peace, even in the face of disagreement and contention. It uses modern-day examples and draws inspiration from the teachings of Jesus Christ and from the Book of Mormon, which is a book of ancient scripture used hand-in-hand with the Bible.

Allison Dayton: Reconciling Faith and Rainbows
In 2017, Allison's brother Preston took his life at the same time that her son was beginning his own process of coming out. Allison instituted Lift and Love as a way to help support families in the LDS LGBTQ community. She teaches others (of many faiths) how to be accepting and supportive of LGBTQ loved ones in their circles (at home, at church, at school) while still maintaining a connection to Christ.
