Oportunidad perdida
<p>¡Pobre Nuevo León! El escenario que podría haberse diseñado como un exitoso laboratorio, en el 2021, para la contienda del 2024, se esfumó porque los políticos fueron incapaces de administrar correctamente un proceso político esencial. Fue una oportunidad perdida. La expectativa de integrar un gran frente opositor encabezado por el PAN y el PRI rumbo a la gubernatura de Nuevo León duró apenas 48 horas.</p>

<p>Sería un error considerar que las relaciones con México son un tema secundario, que puede ser atendido en “piloto automático” por la burocracia. Su vecino del sur no es irrelevante, aunque el Presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador se niegue a felicitarlo. México demanda una atención prioritaria.</p>

La debilidad del Presidente
<p>La elección presidencial de Estados Unidos tendrá enormes consecuencias en la relación bilateral México-Estados Unidos. Joe Biden ganó. El proceso sigue. No hubo “ola azul”. No tendrá un mandato fuerte. Biden obtuvo el voto popular con un mensaje unificador, pero el país está profundamente dividido. La debilidad del Presidente nos obliga a pensar estratégicamente. Desde ahora empieza una nueva era en las relaciones entre México y Estados Unidos. Tenemos que prepararnos con inteligencia y audacia para aprovechar esa aparente debilidad en nuestro favor.
