Psalms For All Seasons: The Seed, The Root, and The Tree
If your faith were a tree, would its roots be drinking deep or drying out? In Psalm 1:3-6, God compares His people to a tree planted by streams of water, but what does that really mean? We often think growing closer to God is about trying harder, but the Bible uses a fascinating horticultural picture of being grafted into Christ, the true Tree of Life. Learn what it means to be united with Christ, how to keep your spiritual roots drawing from the living water He provides, and how Martin Luther’s simple, timeless approach to prayer can help you build a deeper relationship with God. Discover how to become the kind of person Psalm 1 describes—deeply rooted in Christ, nourished by His living water, and bearing fruit in every season. Psalms For All Seasons: Two Ways to The Good Life
Which "Good Life" Are You Chasing? What if everything our culture tells us about "the good life" is pointing us in the wrong direction? We spend our lives chasing success, comfort, relationships, experiences, and possessions, hoping they'll finally satisfy us. But Psalm 1 presents a surprising alternative: there are only two paths in life—and only one leads to lasting joy. This week we begin a brand-new series in the Psalms, the prayer book God's people have leaned on for thousands of years. And we start right where the Psalms start: Psalm 1. Psalm 1 lays out two ways to live. One looks like a tree planted by streams of water: rooted, alive, bearing fruit in season. The other looks like chaff the wind just drives away. And the difference isn't really about where you walk, stand, or sit — it's about what you love and what fills your mind. What we delight in and what we meditate on quietly set the direction of our entire lives. Are you being formed by the world's wisdom or by God's Word? If following Jesus has ever felt like a list of dos and don'ts, this message is an invitation to something deeper: a changed heart, new affections, and the kind of lasting happiness the world keeps promising but can't deliver. True flourishing isn't found in having more but in delighting in the Lord and letting Him transform us from the inside out. The good life is real and it's found in going God's way. Scripture List: Psalm 1.1-6 Colossians 3.16

GRWM: Full-Time Christian
If you got paid by the hour to act like Jesus, would you be able to make a living? It's an uncomfortable question, but it gets right to the heart of Paul's challenging call in Colossians 3:17: “Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus.” This final message from our Get Ready With Me series challenges us to move beyond showing up on Sundays and step into a life where everything we say and do represents Jesus. At home, at work, in traffic, online, and everywhere in between. You'll discover: What it means to do everything “in the name of Jesus” Why Christians are called to represent Christ everywhere they go How God’s Word and Spirit help us discern His voice The difference between being a part-time Christian and a full-time Christian Practical ways to live, love, and lead like Jesus every day The question isn’t whether you wear the label “Christian.” The question is: Does your life represent Jesus when nobody is watching? Scripture List: Colossians 3.12-17
