I am a linguist and scholar of Middle Eastern studies by profession, and in this podcast I offer a wide range of topics with a particular focus and historical linguistics, culture, religion and languages of the Middle East and the world of Islam. However, you might find here also philological subjects on Indo-European linguistics and Caucasian studies.

The First Barbary War between the United States and Tripoli (1801–1805) centered on ship seizures, tribute demands, and the enslavement of sailors. The peace treaty ended annual tribute payments and prohibited enslaving prisoners in future wars.

درآمدی بر ناسیونال سوسیالیسم آلمان نازی و فلسفه ی برتری جویی
ناسیونالسوسیالیسم آلمان نازی، ایدئولوژی سیاسی و تمامیتخواهی بود که در دهههای ۱۹۲۰ و ۱۹۳۰ به رهبری آدولف هیتلر شکل گرفت و بر ملیگرایی افراطی، اطاعت از دولت، نظامیگری و نفی دموکراسی تکیه داشت. محور اصلی این ایدئولوژی، باورِ کاذب به «برتری نژادی» بود: نازیها انسانها را بر پایهٔ معیارهای ساختگیِ نژادی طبقهبندی میکردند و آلمانیهای موسوم به «آریایی» را برتر میدانستند. این دیدگاهِ غیرعلمی، یهودیان، روماها، افراد دارای معلولیت، اسلاوها و بسیاری گروههای دیگر را «پست» یا «دشمن» معرفی کرد. پیامد این سیاستها، سرکوب گسترده، جنگ جهانی دوم و نسلکشی هولوکاست بود.
