Avon Media - AHS Broadcast, Newspaper & Yearbook

Students at Avon High School can get involved in a wide range of exciting opportunities both during the school day and after the bell rings. One common feature of these programs is that they are all geared to help students know themselves better, develop the hard and soft skills they need to succeed in the real world, and find and develop talents they might not have known they had. In this student-focused episode, Dr. Wyndham has a fun and informative conversation with a trio of AHS seniors—Raine Shugars, Jackson Zeunik, and Kaitlin Cozzolino—who are each deeply involved in Avon Media. Raine participates in Broadcasting and is regularly featured on the Oriole Report. Jackson is the Editor of the student newspaper, the Avon Echo. Kaitlin plays a leading role in the Yearbook program. Find how what these students are learning about journalistic ethics, how participation in Avon Media has helped them uncover and grow their talents, and much more. Stick around to hear about their plans for the future and to find out which teachers they shout out for making the biggest impact on them during their time in Avon Schools.
