Der tiefere Sinn dieser auf drei Folgen angelegten Podcast-Serie ist, herauszuarbeiten welche allgemein gültige Definition des Jazz in der heutigen Zeit aktuell ist. Hiermit soll Interessenten ein Leitfaden geboten werden, um sich im Dickicht der Halbinformationen über Jazz zurechtzufinden. Alle drei Teilnehmer sind der Meinung, dass man diesem Ziel einer gültigen Definition schon sehr nahe gekommen ist.
