12. Origen de la Filosofía Osteopática
<p>En este episodio del podcast hablo sobre los <strong>orígenes de la filosofía osteopática</strong> y la influencia de <strong>Herbert Spencer</strong> en Andrew Taylor Still. </p> <p>Veremos que el mérito de Still no fue inventar nada nuevo, sino integrar las corrientes del <strong>mecanicismo y el vitalismo</strong> de la época en una filosofía terapéutica basada en una serie de principios como por ejemplo, la interrelación entre estructura y función.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Hablaré de cómo Spencer, filósofo del siglo XIX, influyó en Still al proponer que los sistemas biológicos y sociales están interrelacionados, lo que inspiró a Still a ver el cuerpo humano como un todo interdependiente. A lo largo del episodio explicaré que muchos de los principios de la osteopatía están basados en el pensamiento de Spencer.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Finalmente, hablaré del principio <strong>"la estructura gobierna la función"</strong>, explicando que Still nunca lo dejó escrito literalmente, y que lo podemos interpretar una manera diferente a la habitual. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Espero que el episodio te haga reflexionar y si tiene algún comentario no dudes en escribirme.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Gracias por tu atención.</p>
