Podcast Overview

Anyone who played a college sports remembers the famous NCAA commercials – ”Education is important. There are more than 460,000 NCAA student-athletes, and most of them will go pro in something other than sports.” But nobody told us the “other than sports” options. We went to school knowing our purpose and following our passion. We were part of the 6% who earned the opportunity to continue playing our sport of choice after high school. But, when the end of the road became clear, we typically followed older teammates or school career fairs to fall into our careers. We took the same attitude to our careers as we took to our sports, and we excelled. But along the way we started to ask ourselves, “Is this my passion or purpose? Is there something more out there? What are the pros and cons of my career choice?” This podcast will explore these questions with ex-athletes who have excelled in their careers while also dealing with challenges of imposter syndrome, questioning their career path, and establishing work/life balance.
