Rozwój językowy i społeczny „dzieci pandemii”
Właśnie minęły dwa lata od ogłoszenia przez WHO pandemii. Dzieci urodzone na krótko przed lub w tym czasie nie znają świata bez masek, dystansu i izolacji. Rzadsze kontakty z dziadkami i resztą rodziny oraz brak grup zabawowych sprawiły, że dzieci mają mniej okazji do rozmów i zbierania doświadczeń. Jakie skutki w ich rozwoju językowym i społecznym są już widoczne, a czego możemy się spodziewać w przyszłości? I przede wszystkim — jak możemy tym maluchom pomóc?

Dwujęzyczność w żłobku i przedszkolu
Nadchodzi dzień, kiedy Twoje dziecko „rusza w świat” i zaczyna chodzić do żłobka albo przedszkola. Język kraju, w którym mieszkacie, prawdopodobnie będzie używany w placówce i tym samym stanie się nie tylko językiem, który dziecko słyszy poza domem. Będzie coraz częściej nim otoczone i w końcu zacznie w nim mówić. Dużo. Więcej niż byśmy sobie tego życzyli. Ale po kolei.

What will my child's mother tongue be?
I mentioned once that I’m afraid my daughter won’t feel Polish. What can I do to prevent this? At the moment, first of all, pass on my mother tongue to her. But this doesn’t mean that Polish will occupy the same place in her hierarchy of languages. Monolingual people don’t even think about it, but it’s not that easy for someone who grew up with several languages.
