What the Bible Actually Says About Rejoicing in Suffering

Romans 5:3-5 “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

This is a public episode. What Happens Next - Getting to the End of our Son's Cancer Treatment

Last week, my body completely crashed. Like I’m talking, could barely get my head off the pillow in the middle of the day type of crash. Genuinely concerned that something was wrong with me, I asked his nurse about it and she just smiled and said it was very common for parents to crash at the end of treatment - to which I responded with some big ol fat tears.

It’s the entire year catching up at once. We’re no longer running to hospital appointments every other day, planning for the scheduled over-night stays or mentally preparing for the unplanned ones. It’s been almost a year of mental, physical and spiritual stretching.

And as quickly as it started - it’s finished....I’m going to keep podcasting and sharing what God is doing. I’m excited to share more of the tools and practical ways I have stayed in His word and been equipped for this season. If you’re interested in the tools and practical ways to stay in God’s Word that I will be sharing soon, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out!

This is a public episode.
