movie ratings 2 part 1 w/ parents

in this episode I asked several of my friends and my parents to answer some of the questions I asked the kids in the previous podcast. the responses were somewhat respectable but also some of which truly surprised me. talking about movies in the 1960s compared to what we might have in today's society, the MPAA rating system and whether it works or not, how it compares to the hays system from before, how the limits of what are allowed to be shown have been stretched, and more. in the second part, we will dive into social media, youtube, and what today's streaming platforms mean for parents who are trying to keep their kids from watching these movies, as well as plenty more. be sure to follow us on social media as we will be trying to post some exclusive content for those people and we will see you guys in the next podcast. bye.

ethics in movie ratings part 1 podcast 5

This was an extremely fun topic to traverse into. We got to discuss many things including MPAA rating systems, the hays system of immoral to moral movies, what I have heard of a suspension and fines issued for cussing in a movie back when it was considered wrong, writers vs. parents, and which need to take responsibility, art and whether it should be expressed no matter what it entails, and more. Things were heating up as the debate got more intense so be sure to watch every last minute of it. Be sure to follow our socials as I will finally try to get more content uploaded over there. Also, be sure to watch part 2 when it is uploaded. We will see what the parents have to say about the same questions and see how the kids react to the parents.
