"Out and About With Vincent Burke" is a travel podcast featuring exciting places, fun activities and interesting people across the UK.
I hope you'll come Out and About with me regularly.
The latest episode of 'Out and About With Vincent Burke' is from the 'vibing' city of Manchester, my home town.
In the episode I chat to Helen Hipkiss, Marketing Manager for the Hyatt Regency Manchester, a beautiful modern hotel in the heart of the university quarter, about why the hotel and Manchester are so special to her. Helen lives and work in the city and talks about its unique 'vibe'.
I also get the thoughts of another Mancunian and others from around the world as to why they've come to the city and what they love about it.
I'm always looking for great places to promote in my podcast so if you have an idea for a future episode, just message me below. Thanks for listening!

South Place Hotel - the coolest hotel in the City of London?
With its own art gallery and an artist in residence, South Place Hotel is possibly the coolest place to stay in the City of London.
It's also brilliantly placed, being right next to Liverpool Street station and the state-of-the-art Elizabeth line.
I popped in recently and chatted to Head of PR and Marketing Suzie Holland and General Manager Dean Culpan (pictured) about what makes it so special.
Booking into South Place Hotel is quick and easy – but don’t hang around as rooms go fast!
Just go to www.SouthPlaceHotel.com to book a memorable stay.

Visiting Britain's oldest brewery
I recently visited the lovely medieval town of Faversham in Kent to visit Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewery. I had a great chat with Rose Davis, their Head of Brands, about the secrets of the company's many years of success, their current work and future plans. I also went on a fascinating brewery tour with guide Aubrey Burden.

London's great places to eat and drink
I recently went Out and About around London to talk to the people involving in running some of the great pubs and bars in the capital.
My tour included the Red Setter in Battersea (pictured) which opened earlier this year, as well as The Astronomer pub near Liverpool Street station, the Singer Tavern in Moorgate and Searcy's champagne in the newly renovated Battersea Power Station.

The transformation of Kings Cross
Welcome to the first ever 'Out and About With Vincent Burke'.
This episode looks at the transformation on Kings Cross in central London. Twenty years ago the area was blighted by drug-dealing, prostitution and other criminal activity. However, it has been regenerated into one of London's most vibrant communities. It is now an attractive business location, research hub and cultural destination.
In this episode, I speak to Dr Gunes Taylor from The Crick Institute and several people connected to the Kings Place arts centre.
