Mike LeGrand’s Testimony: Freedom from Addiction, Alcoholism, and Finding Discipleship at Out of the
Pastor Dustin Young introduces a special testimonial episode of the Out of the Box Church podcast featuring Mike LuGrand, a 39-year-old husband and father of three. Mike shares how he was raised around home Bible studies but struggled for years with pornography addiction that began in childhood, later accompanied by alcoholism, shame, anger, and volatility. About six years ago, after leaving a job and working as a plumber, a moment while crawling under a muddy house led him to repentance and realizing he couldn’t overcome sin alone. He discusses the importance of confession, spiritually mature mentorship, safe recovery environments like Celebrate Recovery, and forgiveness after church hurt. Mike describes being set free from both addictions, renewed in his marriage, and finding discipleship and community at Out of the Box Church, encouraging wholehearted daily time in Scripture.

Unshakeable Faith: Family Testimonies, Miracles, and Trusting God Through Trials (Part 2)
Pastor Dustin and Candice continue part two of their testimonies on the Out of the Box Church podcast, connecting their family’s trials to the church’s “Unshakeable Faith” series and emphasizing that believers will face trouble, yet God remains good and faithful. They share Preston’s severe airway blockage and heart defect, including a moment before open-heart surgery when prayer led to a last-second discovery of a blood antibody that could have been fatal. They recount a 2017 collision where eight-year-old Christian prayed over Candice when she wasn’t breathing, after which she recovered. They also describe Dustin’s 2022 angiogram aftermath where he coded twice, was resuscitated, and later learned an iodine dye triggered a thyroid storm. They close by stressing obedience, faithfulness, discipleship, and inviting viewers to join Out of the Box Church as it moves to two services starting November 1, 2026.
