95: Kay Funk of Styler Berg | Beats, Rap & Trip Hop | Halle at Night
🎞️ https://youtu.be/JLBa9Qy7Hks Episode 95 of Outro Podcast brings us to Halle at night — a walking tour through the Saale city with an exclusive Soundtrack by @kay-funk-2 of @stylerberg. Salut et à tout à les heures de phonk! https://radiocorax.de/ Outro Podcast This is the night. www.linktr.ee/domwaits

94: JD | Dub Techno DJ Set | Augsburg at Night
🎞️ youtu.be/39lTpmlayzc Episode 94 of Outro Podcast captures Augsburg at night — a walking tour through its canals and old town, soundtracked by a Dub Techno DJ set by @juergen-dietrich_jd. @juergen-dietrich_jd Being a regular guest in Frankfurt’s techno and house clubs in the early 90s, JD discovered and developed his passion for electronic music. Soon he had to get his own setup of 1210 turntables to get going – no way back then... From 1996 on he served his guests nicely mixed ambient sounds while also being a cocktail mixer at Wiesbaden’s legendary “Der Mensch verlässt die Erde”. Moving to another hip and progressive spot in town, he lived up to that very clubs claim: “2SE – 2 Serve Electronics”. And he did: The ornament-ridden rooms of the former Chinese restaurant saw him cutting down the almost cheesy atmosphere to pure minimalist house, trimmed with some selected electronica. In the following years JD played many radio gigs at hr XXL Chillout show or the “Chillout Weekends”. The lounges at Bingens “Palazzo” or breakbeat parties like “Knietief in Beats” had him acting the part: JD – a professional tranquilizer. Upon today, his versatile musical repertoire guarantees him regular bookings in several other clubs in the Rhein-Main area. In club context percussive, groovy house and techhouse sets are his trademark. His musical skills were in demand for his next job with “Nordisk Club” events. JD was responsible for artist booking as well as contributing his DJ sets to those legendary events of the Frankfurt underground electronic scene. After that, JD was a weekly resident at Sven Väth’s Cocoon Club, where he pleased the “Silk” an “Micro” guests in the early evening with ambient sounds and later on with house tunes – a style showcased on the mixed compilation “Silk Pearls 2” (Cocoon Recordings). In 2012, JD moved from Frankfurt to southern Germany/ Ravensburg, where he continues to demonstrate his skills at occasional gigs to this day. @juergen-dietrich_jd www.instagram.com/techcouture909 Augsburg is not a city that overwhelms with its nightlife – and that quiet restraint shapes its character. The historic streets and canals create a setting where nights feel unhurried, almost introspective, with everything close enough to drift from one place to the next. Moments of energy appear in fragments rather than constant motion, giving the city’s nightlife a subtle intensity that reveals itself only to those who take the time to notice. 93: TBXX | Dub Techno · Techno DJ Set | Ulm at Night
🎞️ youtu.be/xEBkkwt0_kU Episode 93 of Outro Podcast captures Ulm at night — a nocturnal journey past quiet riversides, historic facades and the illuminated silhouette of the old city, soundtracked by a Dub Techno & Techno DJ set by @tbxx. @tbxx TBXX has been a resident DJ at Ulm’s renowned Club Gleis 44 since 2019 and is the founder of the Lignum.OSC label. A passionate drummer from an early age, his musical journey led him from rock and drum & bass to the raw energy of industrial techno. TBXX sees techno as a universal language that connects people around the world. For him, techno is more than just music — it is an expression without borders. https://www.instagram.com/tbxx_gleis44 TBXX about Ulm at night: Ulm is not a city that boasts about its nightlife – and that is precisely part of its character. Everything is close at hand, the old town compact, the distances short. People know each other, run into each other again, and a night out feels more connected than like a loose sequence of stops. Ulm’s electronic music scene is relatively small and shaped more by individual events than by a constant club culture. Good nights happen only occasionally – but when they do, they often carry even more energy. Since the pandemic, nightlife has become noticeably quieter. Much feels more irregular and fragile, and for some, the city has almost fallen asleep. At the same time, pressure from noise complaints and related initiatives has grown, influencing local politics as well. For promoters and organizers, this means more restrictions and less room to operate. Nevertheless, beyond the few remaining clubs, there is still a smaller bar and pub scene – and above all, there are exciting alternative spaces. Across the city’s old fortifications, associations and collectives regularly create irregular, often genre-crossing events. Those who look for them can still find surprising nights far away from the expected. In the end, nightlife in Ulm is not something that simply exists. It is created by the people who make it happen. Complaining about the lack of opportunities changes little – anyone who wants to shape the scene has to become active themselves. And perhaps that is also the greatest opportunity of such a small, still malleable scene. Outro Podcast This is the night. www.linktr.ee/domwaits
