<p>De wetenschap is er over uit dat spirituele ervaringen zich voordoen met psychedelica, maar wat we zien is lastig in taal uit te drukken. Professor André van der Braak, hoogleraar Comparatieve Filosofie van de Religie aan de Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. Hij doet onderzoek naar de transformaties van religie in de hedendaagse levensbeschouwing. Daarnaast is hij zenleraar en heeft hij flink wat publicaties uitgebracht, waaronder zijn nieuwste boek waar wij het vandaag over gaan hebben: "Ayahuasca as Liquid Divinity: An Ontological Approach" (2023). Het is een filosofische verkenning van ayahuasca religiositeit. Hoe 'echt' zijn de werelden en entiteiten waarmee we in aanraking komen tijdens ayahuascaceremonies? En hoe kunnen we psychedelische inzichten en visioenen beter beredeneren? </p>
