Overbooked Besties is what happens when two best friends turn their calls into a podcast, so they can do what they'd be doing anyway... dissecting fictional drama and reality tv with equal obsession and minimal filters. Except now we're nervous and on display! We're currently rereading the Throne of Glass series and crashing out over so much Bravo. If you have opinions, you'll fit right in! Pull up a chair, we've saved you a seat.
20. A Court of Tension, Theories, and Ten Thousand Stairs
We have walked a long road! Arguably, it took Nesta (and us) ten thousand stairs to get here: Nesta is healing and dare we say… we have become EXCITED ABOUT ACOTAR?! Nesta’s POV in A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas gives us tons of tension, whether it’s between her and Cassian or her and quite literally everyone else. We genuinely enjoyed watching it unravel, and now we have so many theories! Be warned, this episode touches on all our reading thus far in anticipation of the release of A Court of Splintered Harmony (OUT TODAY!) – that means Throne of Glass, Crescent City, and all the previous ACOTAR books. WE ARE READY FOR MORE! Tell us your ACOSH theories in the comments!

19. A Court of War, Wine, and Whiplash
THE WAR IS UPON US… and ohmygosh, it’s already over. A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas has more schemes, politics, and battles than the first two books, and they escalate quite quickly. We’re so here for Feyre’s pettiness in dismantling the Spring Court, the effects of the cauldron, and all the cleverness as it plays out in the ways the characters exact their revenge (but we also have whiplash over some content that we need to discuss). And revenge is also exacted over in Bravo’s Below Deck Med, where Gen literally purchases a fresh glass of red wine to throw on Luke (could never be us– we drink, not waste). Nathan tries to get his last jabs in at Joe, who is too drunk to understand how things escalated in the first place, and Aesha stands up for her friend by telling a truth that everyone needed to hear. We are skipping A Court of Frost and Starlight, but we’ll catch you up on the important facts before we dive into THE LAST BOOK BEFORE THE NEW RELEASE. AND GUESS WHAT – we are once again risking it for the biscuit by reading A Court of Silver Flames in one week. We appreciate your support in our questionable decision making!

18. A Court of Mist, Starlight, and Back-Handed Gifts
Alana and Sinn venture into A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas and find themselves starstruck in Velaris and awestruck at their slowly changing opinions on romantasy, Rhysand, and reading 656 pages in one week! And while fortune and misfortune continued to rock Prythian, it rocks differently in San Francisco where Bravo's Real Housewives of Salt Lake City get petty about wigs, lip liner, and gifts with alternate messaging.
❄️: Reality TV starts at 37:32 if you're feeling the icy reception with the RHOSLC cast.
