Tabitha was a faithful disciple whose simple skill of sewing became a practical way to show God’s love to vulnerable people in her community. When she died, the widows she had cared for gathered around, holding the clothing she had made and showing the impact of a life spent serving others. God miraculously raised Tabitha through Peter, and many throughout Joppa came to believe in the Lord. Her life reminds us that we do not need a platform or extraordinary abilities to be used by God; He can take the ordinary skills He has given us and use them to bring dignity, care, and love to the people around us. - Greg Opean - Sunday, September 27, 2026

Jesus calls His followers to live differently by being people whose words can be trusted, who refuse to repay evil with evil, and who choose love even when it is undeserved. Rather than fighting every battle, defending every personal right, or seeking revenge when we are wronged, Jesus teaches us to respond with restraint, generosity, and grace. Loving our enemies does not mean ignoring harm or having warm feelings toward those who hurt us, but choosing to seek their good instead of returning hatred for hatred. This kind of love does not come naturally, but as we surrender to Jesus, the Holy Spirit changes us from the inside out so that our lives increasingly reflect the character of our Father. - Rick Cornejo - Sunday, September 27, 2026

As Israel grows into a nation, Jethro sees that Moses is trying to carry the needs of the entire community by himself and warns that both he and the people will eventually wear out. His advice is simple but important: Moses needs to focus on what God has called him to do while raising up trustworthy people and giving them real responsibility. Moses humbly receives the correction, delegates authority, and creates a healthier structure where others can use the gifts God has given them.
