While the Pack recently added an NCAA Qualifier to its lineup as a midseason transfer, NC State also suffered a season-ending injury to one of its middle weights. There is still a battle at 133 pounds, and some youngsters have taken a big leap this year in the national rankings.

[…] Like you said, uh, first and second used to get a buy now, just the number one gets a buy. How tough was it? Because you went through it. You had to weigh in two hours before the start, but just because the start, the semifinals were another two hours. So you kind of had four to five hours. How tough of a weight is that? Yeah. Um, well, That's what's special about the ACC is, yeah, you get that buy, you have a lot of time after you're weighing. So you can put more into your body than you would for a normal two hours, but it's also being able to manage how much you're going to put in because if you put too much in, then you're going to be really sluggish.
