Episode 12. Buying Now, Paying Later: Debt Culture & Consumerism

Industry Insiders and Content Creators Ashlee-Rose Brisley & Lucy Alice Burt welcome you to their twelfth episode of 'Paid in Exposure' where they discuss the rising popularity of instalment schemes and pay later apps such as 'Klarna' and the dangers of millennial money. The duo move away from their usual fashion discussions to open up about their personal finances and life as commuters, as Ashlee talks why she chooses to travel 5 hours a day (yes, really!!!) and how much she spends on transport each year; meanwhile Lucy talks about choosing to rent prices over staying at home and they both talk about the trip hazards with mindsets around money & what they do to keep their costs as low as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: This episode was originally due to air on Monday 30th March 2020, however due to the onset of COVID-19 and the developments of the coronavirus, both decided to pause uploads, as it was debatable whether it was respectful or 'right' to talk about this subject when larger global impacts were taking place. However having been over 7 weeks, and wanting to upload this old episode that was scheduled to go live for some element of continuity. This was the last episode recorded before the UK went into lockdown.

Follow Ashlee on Instagram @b_arose

Follow Lucy on Instagram @lucyalice_creative

Follow the podcast on Instagram @thepaidinexposurepodcast
