#4 trauma : movement as remembering

delving into my personally, unique realm and remembering my painful memories and my lived experiences of carrying emotional pain from my childhood and teenage-hood. really exploring and getting curious about my past, by coming from my heart space. sharing my personal learnings about what emotional trauma looks like, and how for each person as an individual it looks and feels entirely idiosyncratic + different. i feel that trauma can become a part of any body's journey. i've shared where my personal experience of trauma can birth from and how i have found movement to be really, deeply encouraging my journey towards and through self-knowingness and self-compassion, by evoking my body's memory of what i'd experienced as a young being.

#3 acknowledging the wisdom of your body

a focusing approach to acknowledging the wisdom of your body. here i share what focusing-oriented therapy is for me personally, with the facilitative words of Eugene Gendlin. i share my personal experiences of developing my communication between body + mind, within the Personal Development group (community), and experiences that are historical too, of being a dancer and lover of movement and embodied practices'. learning to feel through my problems + experiences, rather than thinking my way through them intellectually and logically. exploring the wisdom of my body. also recommending books such as Focusing by Eugene Gendlin and, Person-Centred Therapy: The Focusing-Oriented Approach by Campbell Purton. i have also decided that i may create a focusing community in the near future.
