Episode 9: Interview with Mikah Walters (MTech Cave)
In this episode of the Hobby House Podcast, I interview Mikah Walters, one half of the power couple that owns and operates MTech Cave, a hobby Megastore in Stillwell, Oklahoma. I first met Mikah a couple years ago when I wrote a few articles for FauxHammer. Mikah and Makayla's dedication to customer service goes so far beyond what I thought possible, especially in today's society. So, hop in, and listen to why I believe they're the best Hobby Supplier in the country, and why others like Chapter Master Valrak love MTech on the other side of the pond!

Episode 8: Interview with David Shelvey (ShelveyStudios)
In this episode, Trevor sits down with David Shelvey and digs a bit deeper into his motivations, goals, struggles and aspirations. The biggest thing to take away is the reality that we all start somewhere. We all make hobby mistakes, but what matters is the drive and determination to push ahead and grow. This was an incredible opportunity, and for the first interview episode, I had a great time. Hop in and get to know ShelveyStudios!

Episode 5: Competitions and Commissions
In this episode, Logan and Trevor discuss the Odie/Garfield Personality pairing, and how to overcome fear and doubt when it comes to your hobby. Sometimes, we all struggle with the perfection paradigm. You want to try > it won't be as good as someone else > why try? > you don't try > you don't grow > You want to try > repeat.... Sometimes the best way to break that cycle is to understand that failure (although not awesome and generally a bummer deal) is never without its blessings.
Experience, confidence, growth points, constructive criticism, and humility are all fruit that grow on the tree of failure....a Failure Ficus. Is a Ficus a tree? I'll have to google that...
Anyway, All that to say this: don't let the fear of failure keep you from chasing your interests. Embrace failure. Look at every obstacle and hurdle as a blessing.
Oh, btw: Ficus (/ˈfaɪkəs/ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/English)[1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ficus#cite_note-1) or /ˈfiːkəs/ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/English)[2] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ficus#cite_note-2)[3] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ficus#cite_note-3)) is a genus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genus) of about 850 species (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Species) of woody trees (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tree), shrubs (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrub), vines (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vine), epiphytes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epiphyte) and hemiepiphytes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemiepiphyte) in the family (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_(biology)) Moraceae (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moraceae). Collectively known as fig trees. Boom.

Episode 4: GW Prices, Recasting, 3D Printing and non-GW Products.
Ok Folks, this one is gonna be a doozy. It's long and Ha... er, umm... not easy. Huge thanks to Loken and OliOdd aka BRATWURST for the suggestions, both from the Marshall's Miniatures Discord Server,
It's no secret the hobby sphere, in general, isn't too happy with some decisions the mega-corp Games Workshop has made recently. From Ban-Hammering loyal content creators, to stifling, even crushing the creativity of people with the audacity to make 3rd party bits…. These big dogs have kind of bitten the hands that feed them.
This invariably leads to alternative solutions. With the advent of 3D printing, and the age-old practice of straight-up yoinking IP via recasting…GW finds themselves in a bit of a pickle.
Finally, when faced with the tumultuous hobby funk surrounding GW..people have chosen to step outside the imposing, (if not admittedly a bit bloated) shadow and find hobby love and enjoyment elsewhere.
Strap in, snag the popcorn and get ready to be triggered (unless you're a reasonable human being, then I'm sure you'll be fine).
