Origins of Papergirl
Papergirl is coming to Brooklyn!
But what is Papergirl, and who started this trend of giving away art for free by bike? Papergirl-Brooklyn (https://www.papergirlbk.com) organizers Sina Basila Hickey (https://www.sinabasila.com) and Annie Del Hierro (https://killacollage.com) debut Papergirl Radio by going back to the origins of Papergirl (http://papergirl-berlin.de).
Sina, who has previously organized Papergirl projects, talked with Aisha Ronniger, the founder of Papergirl (http://papergirl-berlin.de), to talk about the origins of this project and what it does for a community. Sina also spoke with Fatherless (https://www.wearefatherless.com), Addison Karl (https://www.addisonkarl.com), and Luna Park (https://thestreetspot.com/about) about why they are again participating in Papergirl ten years later, the impact of public art, the importance of building connections with your community, having a political voice, and more.
