Old Shows, New Traditions & Holiday Prep
In this episode of Paquettecast, Aleenah and I share updates on life, our favorite shows, and plans for the podcast. We’ve decided to take Paquettecast in a more flexible direction, moving away from a strict weekly release to focus on creating episodes that feel natural and give us the space to explore topics in depth.
We chat about our favorite nostalgic shows, like The Office and Family Guy, and share our thoughts after rewatching the anime Death Note, with its intense psychological twists and elaborate rules. We also talk about our recent watch of the horror film Imaginary, which sparked a conversation on psychological horror and how it messes with reality.
With the holidays approaching, we go over some Thanksgiving plans and tips on food storage. Plus, we recap our recent election night gathering, sharing our excitement for upcoming family events and hinting at topics for future episodes. Stay tuned for more relaxed and candid conversations here on Paquettecast!

Trump rally shooting, Women in the Secret Service, and RNC Discussion
Hey y'all,
A lot and I mean A LOT happened the past week so here's a rundown of what I covered this episode.
Donald Trump was shot in the ear at a Pennsylvania rally, but what's the real story behind this shocking incident? Join us as we unpack the chilling details of the shooting, delving into the background and possible motives of the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks. We scrutinize the security lapses that allowed this to happen and ponder the future implications for Trump amidst ongoing investigations and political turmoil.
In the aftermath of the shooting, we explore the controversial rhetoric comparing Trump to historical figures like Hitler and the notion of divine intervention in his near-miraculous survival. The tragic death of firefighter Corey Comperatore, who sacrificed his life during the chaos at the rally, serves as a poignant reflection on faith and the complexities of attributing such events to divine plans versus human error. This segment takes a deep dive into personal faith and its intersection with politics during these turbulent times.
The episode also tackles the hot-button issue of gender roles in law enforcement and the impact of diversity initiatives on public safety and efficiency. We highlight the major moments from the Republican National Convention, including Trump's heartfelt speeches and media reactions to the rally shooting. As we navigate through conspiracy theories, the controversial sentencing of protesters, and speculation about Biden's future, we underscore the critical importance of voting down the ballot in upcoming elections. Your vote counts more than you think, not just for the presidency but for every position that shapes our community and country.
