This sermon examines the healing of the paralytic and the calling of Levi. It also demonstrated the authority of Jesus Christ to forgive sins, thereby proving His divinity. The message emphasizes that extraordinary actions, such as lowering the palsy man through the roof, are evidence of genuine faith that pleases God and leads to spiritual and physical restoration. It contrasts the self-righteousness of the Pharisees with the humility of sinners who recognize their need for a physician, highlighting that Jesus came to call the lost to repentance rather than the self-justified. Lastly, the teaching addresses the transition from the Old Covenant to the New, using the parable of new wine in new bottles to warn against mixing works with the grace of salvation. The central intent is to convict listeners of their need for a Savior and to encourage courageous faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Good Samaritan - The Deepest Love
"What must I do to inherit eternal life?" The answer according to Christ is: love God completely and love your neighbor as yourself. "Do this and you will live." Who then is my neighbor? — a question that exposes the heart, since loving Christ is far easier than loving others. The truest measure of your love for God is how you love others.
