Same Old Same Old
We know you've seen them, and on this episode we discuss them. We're talking about movie tropes and cliches–the things that we see over and over again because the filmmakers are either lazy or they just need to have something they know will make a scene, character, or the entire movie, work. Here's some of our favorites that we find amusing and funny. We cover action movies, horror, sci-fi, and more.

Salo: Or 120 Days of Sodom
In this episode we discuss one of the most controversial and disturbing films ever made. Pier Paolo Pasolini's derisive 1975 film would be the last before his death. Largely debated as to whether it's pornography or a cinematic masterpiece, one thing can be agreed upon–the images onscreen are like nothing else you've ever seen. We must warn you that this film can be traumatizing for some people and even the content of this podcast can be disturbing at times. Listen at your own risk and if you decide to watch this film be prepared to be shocked.

Kentucky Fried Movie: Film at 11
If you loved Airplane!, The Naked Gun films, Hot Shots! or any of the other great parody/spoof films of the 1980s, then Kentucky Fried Movie is for you. This is where it all started for the comedy genius of director John Landis (Animal House, The Blues Brothers, Trading Places, Coming to America) and the ZAZ team (David Zucker, Jim Abrahams, Jerry Zucker). It's a unique movie filled with ridiculous sketches and we discuss some of our favorites and how this was a ground breaking film that would be difficult to make in the current market.

Xanadu: Where Nobody Dared to Go
This episode is filled to the max with nostalgia and hyperbole. But we can't help ourselves, nor would we want to. Kaleb and Adam have a long history with Xanadu as fans of Olivia Newton-John. With her passing this year it's only fitting that we look back on this film, that many people consider a flaming pile of trash, with loving eyes and ears.
