Parakaleo exists for the edification and encouragement of the Church through meaningful and biblically-based dialogue on the application of the gospel to every sphere of our lives, especially those pertaining to relevant issues that GOCers and Christian college students face. New episodes are released on the first of each month!
Grace on Campus (GOC) @ UCLA is a ministry of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA.
Parakaleo (//anchor.fm/parakaleo) is a podcast intended to encourage the Christian college student to live a life pleasing to God. As the month of September dawns, John and Matt have another former GOCer, Aaron Philip, on to have an intentional diaologue regarding the Church. It is God's plan for every Christian to be committed to a local church, and this is no less important for the collegian.
Apologies for the audio issues this episode. As Season One of Parakaleo draws to an end, we would like to give a special thanks to Andrew Yong (cover design), Aaron Philip and Justin Yu (small group leaders for John and Matt respectively), Hanson Cao (feedback), Nathaniel Chen (audio remastering), all our guests, our listeners, and most of all, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Episode 3: Evangelism
Parakaleo (https://anchor.fm/parakaleo) is a podcast intended to encourage the Christian college student to live a life pleasing to God. This month's episode is all about Evangelism: What it is, how do we do it, and what are its practical, binding application upon us as Christians, all according to Scripture! John and Matt have an excellent conversation with Nancy Wu, a former GOCer who just graduated this past year as she shares about how her evangelism has changed -- and stayed the same -- moving from college to the postgrad life.

Episode 2: Work
Parakaleo (https://anchor.fm/parakaleo) is a podcast intended to encourage the Christian college student to live a life pleasing to God. In this episode, John and Matt had the immense privilege to enter into the Macarthur Center for Expository Preaching (https://macarthurcenter.org/) (which, by the way, has a podcast (https://macarthurcenter.org/the-expositor/) too) and converse with Austin Duncan (also known as ATD) on what it means to have a biblical theology of work. ATD is an elder at GCC and pastor of the college/young adult minsitry, Crossroads. He also pastored GOC @ UCLA our freshman and sophomore years, before handing off the baton to Matt Ng, our current shepherd (see episode 1).
