Pardon My French is a podcast with Cécile and Michelle, two friends from both sides of the Atlantic living in Maine, discussing language, translation, poetry, writing, movies, and the stupid, splendid, perplexing world around them.
It's my enormous pleasure to have spoken to Maine poet Jeri Theriault about her most recent collection of poems, Self-Portrait as Homestead. We talk about the poems and their process, hard truths in writing, and how to put the reader in the middle of the experience of the poem. We also get a taste of her stunning work. Enjoy this episode with an artist and poet who has mastered her craft.

Pardon My Poem With Sasha Goodwin
I simply loved talking to Maine poet Sasha Goodwin on this episode of the pod! Her book "Centipede" won the 2023 Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance chapbook contest and it's wonderful. I've read it several times, and I will without a doubt read it several more. Join our chat and get the low down on her book, her years living in Seattle, and why she occasionally feels like a weird middle-aged goth.

C'mon along!

Pardon My Poem debuts with the incomparable Maine poet Dennis Camire. Dennis talks about his latest collection Anthology of Awe and Wonder currently available from Deerbrook Editions. He reveals the origins of this stunning collection and reads a couple of poems, too. Dennis was a huge get for the season's first episode - I couldn't be more grateful for this generous and revealing discussion. Enjoy!
