Welcome to The Parent Warrior Project: a powerful deep dive into modern, effective ways to support families inside their homes. Each episode explores innovative, cost-efficient approaches to helping children thrive—moving beyond outdated methods that lack real incentive or impact. We shine a light on solutions that truly work for parents, empowering them with tools, insights, and strategies designed for today’s challenges.
On the Parent Warrior Project, actress and mother Masiela Lusha,
@masielalusha best known as Carmen on George Lopez, joined me for an important conversation about what today's kids are losing in an always connected world.
When we were bored, we had to create.
We imagined. We explored. We built things. We went outside. We figured out how to entertain ourselves.
Today, the second a child feels unstimulated, there's a phone or device waiting to fill the space.
And over time, kids can begin interpreting normal moments of boredom or discomfort as something being wrong:
"I'm anxious. I'm depressed. I need something to make this feeling go away!"
But boredom isn't necessarily the enemy.
Sometimes boredom is where creativity, curiosity, independence and self-discovery begin.

This episode I sat down with Sara Krish to talk about her journey through cancer, the strength she found in the middle of it, and how adversity can completely change the way we see ourselves and our lives.
Sara shares a powerful perspective: sometimes the experiences we would never choose for ourselves become the very experiences that force us to grow, learn, and discover what we're capable of and truly meant to do.
We also dive into her journey with healing, wellness, and plant medicine, and what she's learned along the way.
