[…] I thought we were beyond that because most black women I know got jobs or work side by side. In this economy that we talked about, a lot of Families have to be two income households and a lot of black families are two income households. We're not. I mean, there are some that are like, you know, it was a stay at home parent and one is the provider. But even in that regard, we have to see caretaking as labor and work. Right. Taking care of our children as labor. It's work. Even if you don't go to work. Like being home with their children or raising your children is a part of labor. So still, we both work out all day and then we don't come home and take care of these kids together. […]
