E63 What Are Dutch Jokes Like? With Nina Van Der Mark
Location: Soho Square Gardens, London
Guests: Nina Van Der Mark
London-based Dutch comedian and academic Nina tells us about health, oversharing and Dutch culture!
WARNING: some swearing in this one, sorry mum.
As always GRAZIE to Lucia Scazzocchio, Luke Jones (do listen to his brilliant podcast https://southgirlproductionmusic.com/category/podcast-production/ (https://southgirlproductionmusic.com/category/podcast-production/)), Rosie Wilby (https://www.instagram.com/breakupmonologues/?hl=en (https://www.instagram.com/breakupmonologues/?hl=en)) and Mae-Li Evans for encouragement, production support and advice. There would be no podcast without these people. THANKS GUYS.
Park Date is about mixing the silly with the serious so do listen out for the original comedy we're slotting in between and after the interviews (which are hopefully pretty funny themselves).
Do review, subscribe and like. Namecheck as many trees as possible in your reviews and make them as surreal as possible - I have a very nice prize to give out to the writer of the funniest review.

E62 How Do You Steal A Rock Band? With Steve McLean
Location: St James Square, Edinburgh
Guest: Steve McLean
Here's another episode I recorded at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe - with the brilliant and very Scottish Steve McLean. Steve does comedy shows about music, runs the excellent awards called West End New Act of The Year, and has a new book out called Stealing Deep Purple, which you should go and buy https://www.thehighwaystar.com/news/2025/07/16/stealing-deep-purple/ (https://www.thehighwaystar.com/news/2025/07/16/stealing-deep-purple/)
Steve is also involved with The Free Fringe, helping new performers get into the Edinburgh Fringe.
AND Steve is doing a show about this very story at Edinburgh this year o go and see it! Every day at 1600 https://www.instagram.com/withstevemclean/ (https://www.instagram.com/withstevemclean/)

E61 How Do You Talk To The Dead? With Alfrun Rose
Location: Pleasance Courtyard, Edinburgh
Guests: Alfrun Rose
A special episode here for you all. I knew Alfrun Rose's dad Gis and her lovely mum Anna when I was doing music journalism a decade ago. Gis' death is one of the inspirations for Alfie's exquisite play Dead Air. I watched the play at the Edinburgh Fringe and then we chatted about it and life and death in general with the imposing Arthur's Seat and Hollywood Park looming us in the Pleasance Courtyard. Alfie and her sis very sweetly came to my final performance of my comedy show Chaos in The Avocado Aisle on Aug 9 too.
Enjoy this lovely episode and love to the whole clan! :)
