Hey everyone! And welcome to the podcast that is made for you, the youth people! Our goal with these podcasts is to create a space where we can have discussions and work through life together. We hope that we can challenge you to think about how you act as Christians in this crazy world that we live in. We also hope to entertain you a bit because life is not meant to be serious all the time. Basically we want to connect with you about all topics! Be sure to chat with us on Instagram (@maranathayouthpodcast).

Sometimes we go through crumby situations, and a lot of the time it is easier for us to sit and pout about it. In this episode we touch on how when Paul and Silas find themselves in a bad situation, their response is praise! We talk about how Paul sets a good example for us in terms of making the best of a situation and how God used Paul and Silas in another person's life! We also talk about how mercy-full God is, not only for the people in the Bible but for us, today! Tune in and join the conversation on Instagram @parksandrefomation.

Episode 6 - Dare to Self Care
Last week we talk about mental health and how there is a bit of a stigma around it. This week, we decided to discuss how to combat bad mental health days with a little bit of self care. We talked about what self-care is and how it can be beneficial to bring down your stress levels. Self-care is very important although sometimes can seem selfish or not even necessary, but in reality it is a good way to wind down from the stresses of the week. In this episode we also talked about spiritual self-care and what that could look like. Just like everyone's self-care routine may be a different so is their faith journey and spiritual self-care. Tune in to find out everything we talked about.

Episode 4 - I-Dentity
For the past couple of weeks we have been talking about social media; the good and the bad. This week we decided to take another look at social media, but this time in terms of our identity. We looked at how social media could shape our identity and what role knowing that we are made in God's image played on our social media. In this day and age it is easy to get caught up in putting out the "perfect life" on social media but sometimes that does more harm then good. It is important to remember that you are made in God's image and social media does not define you.

Episode 3 - The Brighter Side of Social Media
Last week we talked about how social media can be quite a dark and dreary place. There is lots of negativity that can be spread like wild fire across social media. However, social media can also be a good thing too. This week we decided to talk to someone who has been using social media to stay connected with his family even before quarantine began. We talk how even through this time of quarantine we can use social media to stay connected with our family and friends and not only that but we talk about how social media can be used to connect with our church family and worship God. Tune in to find out who we talked to and our thoughts on these subjects.

In this week's podcast we decided to take a look at a bit of the darker side to social media. We talk about how we as Christians can view people who were involved in controversies and how our faith can guide us in choosing what we consume when it comes to social media. We also tackled another topic which was cancel culture. We take a look at how we as Christians interpret cancel culture and we also discuss if cancel culture is as new as we think it is.
